Wooden Panelling / Thermo Pine

Thermo Pine for interior wall panelling

The warm honey-brown of thermally modified pine, on walls that stay flat through the Indian seasons. For complete material data see the Thermo Pine master page.

Why it works as panelling

Flat walls, honey warmth, no resin bleed

Thermo Pine as a wall panel takes advantage of what thermal modification does best: it removes the resin that natural pine would weep over years, locks the moisture content low, and stops the seasonal cupping and shrinkage that ruins a long wall. Boards fit tight at install and stay tight.

The colour is a soft, even honey-brown through the full thickness, which matches well with white walls, light stone and warmer floors. Natural, open-grain and brushed finishes are all available in the same species.

Installation

How it fixes to the wall

BattensTreated battens at 400–600mm centres, perpendicular to board length. Shim to a flat plane before fixing.
FixingsStainless A2 secret-fix clips for tongue-and-groove profiles; face-fix with stainless screws plugged with matching Thermo Pine plugs where required.
Expansion3–5mm perimeter gap at every wall junction and ceiling meeting.
FinishClear hardwax oil or water-based lacquer keeps the honey tone warm. Three finishes offered: natural, open grains, brushed.
